Not driven my Aston for a couple of months. A friend that lives a few doors away has just got himself a Vantage and we had a good impromptu drive through the South Downs this morning for breakfast at the Goodwood aero club. Now time for a clean
Hope you are well Scott - am looking forward to getting the 328 out of winter hibernation, only a couple of months to go, or perhaps just a few weeks... :-)
Definitely looking forward to some more breakfast runs and seeing the 328 Simon. Headcorn sounds good as well, always hear about motorbike clubs stopping there for breakfast.
Hi Brian - its me Simon (Maserati) under my pseudonym :-) - sounds like a good drive and breakfast was had. You've made me think that Headcorn Aerodrome could be another good venue for a Sunday morning breakfast spin as the cafe opens at 8am. Also really enjoyed the Rye breakfast that I joined you chaps on back in Sep/Oct. Can I join you next time in an F Type if the roads are dirty :-)))
@V8BJC Actually Brian I haven't been to Headcorn Aerodrome, but I hear from others that its a good meeting point for Sunday breakfast. I believe there is also car meeting there (perhaps monthly) so something I must look into. The little 328 has been tucked away in the garage since early-Nov on a battery conditioner. I've been doing a few little fettling jobs, and while the paint was good, I'm going over it with my machine polisher which has improved the shiny looks :-) I can't wait for clean and salt-free roads to take it out again, hopefully from April... Will keep a look out for your scheduled brekkie runs!
Hi Ben, the weather was great but the roads were so dirty. It took 3 hours to clean the car after. There were a few modern mustangs on track but generally very quiet. A few people in and around the aero club The cafe is open daily from 9am. The breakfast is superb
Looks like you were lucky with the weather Brian. Many nice cars at Goodwood when you were there? Is the Aero Club open every Sunday morning for breakfast even when there are not events on?
