Had a V8Vantage for 8 years from 2013, toured 10 European countries in it and every mile a smile. Totally reliable, achieved 24mpg on long runs, extremely comfortable and room for three weeks luggage😊. Pictures to follow, regards Dave.
I've got a friend that drives from Blackpool to Saint-Tropez every year in his 911 and stays there with his wife for 3 weeks. I asked him how he gets 3 weeks of clothes in his car and he told me his secret.
He packs up a very large suitcase and arranges for DHL to ship it to the hotel a couple of days before he leaves, and they collect it the day after he's left, and he just carries a small overnight bag in the car. Genius!
No that's cheating! I would need all my undies in the small bag as well just in case the delivery didn't turn up😂(I was once at a race meeting in Malaysia and DHL lost all the shirts that should have been delivered for VIP guests so I'm never too sure after that).
@Gilly theres still load of room in there! You should see the boot on my Volante. You can just about fit a sandwich in it, as long as you take the salad out.
@davewelland53 impressive stuff. i fell in love with my V8V the moment I saw it so never even considered a DB9. Only decent trip I've done to date was to Le Mans so relatively short and no need for smart jacket that year 😀
@steviebee155 hi Stevie, no pictures but one medium size wheelie suitcase (which says in the boot on one night stops), also in the boot three reasonable size leather bags (one for me, two for the wife) a few pairs of spare/dressier shoes on the petrol tank, smart jacket, dress laid on top. Finally on the back shelf the wife has another smaller bag and I have a couple of sweaters, and waterproof behind me!
when I bought the vantage I wanted a GT so was looking at the DB9 but the Vantage boot is so much bigger, and it also turned out to be a great tourer! Usually managed to squeeze in a couple of bottles of good red to bring home as well😊. Regards, Dave
@davewelland53 we found you could store 6 bottles of wine under the DB9 passenger seat as we stocked up in the supermarket on route to Umbria. The locals were quite amused to see a Ferrari and Aston full of luggage stocking up on food and drink.
Steve/Les, it’s a great little boutique hotel - I recommended it to you Les!!
safe parking for the Aston, lovely situation on the shore of Lake Como, 50m from the lake passenger ferry, attentive staff and a really good restaurant. Enjoyed it so much we went. back a couple of years later on the way to our tour of Tuscany. Regards, Dave.

Welcome to the club, Dave. I'd like to see a pic of how you get 3 week's luggage in yours 😀.
Best not lean out when inebriated...
Ha ha Quite a view from the Throne

Welcome to the club, how was the Belvedere?
Welcome along Dave. Loving the last picture. That is the hotel we are using for the Monza trip.
